How to Solve CISCO: WARNING: SFP GBIC-SECURITY CHECK FAIL AND GBIC-INVALID

I ran into problem stating that : “Warning: SFP gbic-security check fail” and further stating that ‘gbic-invalid”. This came, when I was making use of non Cisco 10 Gb copper SFP’s in a 3850 stack and while inserting interface of the SFP’s it flashed an err-disabled status.

SOLUTION:

The error was overcome by using the following listed command

service unsupported-transceiver
no errdisable detect cause gbic-invalid

Afterwards, everything was working smooth after running a shut and no shut on the interface.
